There are so many different issues that parents will experience when their child is born with special needs of any kind. If it is autism, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, learning disorders, Asperbergers syndrome, down syndrome, hearing or sight disorders, or terminal illnesses, it can be very overwhelming. There are other issues with those who have accidents which sometimes paralyze people and they require total care. However, there are others who care for wounded warriors or MS, MD or ALS can also change people's lives in sudden ways or gradually. It still requires someone who will care for them. It changes many lives and many times it requires sudden changes by giving up a job or even a current lifestyle.
